How I Build Apps With Google AI Studio 💡 Full AI Coding Tutorial

Google AI Studio is an incredible powerful tool that has been helping me turn my ideas into reality. As a non-coder, I have been learning how to code using Gemini 2.5 Pro, enabled in Google AI Studio, while also using this same software to write code for me AND debug it.

It's honestly amazing how much I've learned and built in such a short time, leveraging Gemini 2.5 Pro as one of the most powerful LLMs out there, especially for coding (and it's free!).

With Obsidian being my favourite non-linear note-taking app, I thought it would be cool to build a custom, personal app for myself: an idea inbox. A dedicated mobile app that lets me drop thoughts & ideas in one place and have them appear in Obsidian for analysis later. 

Whether you are interested in Obsidian or not, the concept of ideating, roadmapping, planning, and developing an MVP app for yourself remains the same. Prompt engineering & context engineering are becoming more important than ever as AI tools continue to improve. We need to consider how to scale our apps from MVP to production, leveraging AI for coding along the way. 

I also touch on how to use GitHub for version control and how to use Google Cloud Run to deploy your app for sharing. Effectively, you can use Gemini 2.5 Pro as an agentic AI to code for you, versioning with GitHub, and deploying with Google Cloud Run. It's a full stack!
